Germaine Tillion Vocational High School

Welcome to the English website of the Vocational High School Germaine Tillion, which is located in Thiers, an hour away from Clermont-Ferrand, in the Auvergne region, in the Puy-de-Dôme department.
It is a human-scale high school which hosts around 300 students in different professional fields. Our high school has a number of 85 employees who are very attentive to students.
At the center of the campus you can find the cafeteria, with its food bought from local producers  for the different meals. There is also a boarding school, which gives breakfast, lunch and dinner to the students. The high school has a students' home for students who have some spare time during the day. The school library is open 4 to 5 days a week and it has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our high school is composed of many buildings named by letters :
In building B you can find the tertiary sector, where students learn business admnistration work and train as cooks, catering and service employees.
In building C you can find the school clinic with a nurse who is there to preserve and improve health of Germaine Tillion students' health through education and consultation.
In building D you can find the Students Services Office, school life advisors and different classrooms.
In building F there is the cafeteria where we can have breakfast, lunch or dinner.
In building J you can find some classrooms and the different industrial workshops.
The students' house and the boarding school can be found in a separate building.
